GLO Tag
A team based project to develop a summer time fun product for Target. Done in the Toy Product Design class with an interdisciplinary team of five. Took steps of brainstorming, concept development and prototyping as a team. Lead the design of the electrical components using Arduino, RFID tags and NeoPixel LED strips. Tag you lost a life.
A game of tag which pits two teams to tag each other until every life, signified by the light bars, have changed color. Each type of tag allows for different animations and interactions. For example one could take one life away or give one back. Gameplay is fully customizable as the RFID tags are preprogramed for different aspects of gameplay setup and fun.
A programable set of backpacks using RFID tags to pick and play the various games of tag.
A RFID tag reader to allows teams to be created and games facilitated. Pre-programed games allow for customization of gameplay.
Tags are utilized with a variety of types programmed to change gameplay. Could be to signify the color associated with the tag or how it interacts with the backpack.
The bars represent lives and change color to signify a life lost.
Light up LEDs in the front and back plus reflective materials keep children safe at night.
